UV Performing Arts Studio Policy

Dress and Shoes code:  Ballet: Leotard, and Ballet shoes

Jazz, Modern and Contemporary: Leotard, shorts or leggings, and jazz shoes or footundeez

Hip Hop and Street Dance: Comfortable cloth  (no skirt, not jeans, no outside shoes, please) and gym sneakers or dance sneakers

 

Tuition Payment: We accept following payment methods: Credit Cards (*with processing fee) - Visa, Mastercard, Discover, American Express,  Zelle, cash and personal checks. Please make checks payable to UV Performing Arts.  Tuition must be paid by the first class of the session.

 

Class Fee  (*as of 2020）

 

30 minutes class: 

Single class:$22　($20＋Tax)

5 class card  $90　($81.82＋Tax)

10 class card $180　($163.64＋Tax)

 

60minutes

Single class$25　($22.73＋Tax)

5 class card $120　($109.09＋Tax)

10 class card $230　（＄209.09＋Tax)

 

＊5 class card expiration: 90 days

＊10 class card expiration: 120 days

＊Card extension (one time): $20

 

Private lesson 60 minutes: $66 ($60+Tax)

 

 

Class Credits/Refunds: Up until the second class of the session, if need for cancellation arises, class credit will be issued for the tuition paid deducting any classes taken.  There is no class credit issued beyond the second class.  There are no refunds on tuition, missed classes or class cards. 

 

Cancellation / No Show Policy: We understand that there are times when you must miss an appointment due to emergencies or obligation for work or family. However, if an appointment is not cancelled at least 24 hours in advance you will be charged a fifty dollar fee + Class Fee; for the time for an instructor and his/her travel expense.  

If you cancel before 24 hours, your payment will be refunded. 

Noticed cancellation after 24 hours will be charged 25% of class fee.

 

Late Arrival Without Notice for Scheduled Appointments: If no one shows up after 15 minutes past their scheduled time, instructors are allow to make an another appointment or to leave.  You will be charged as No Show fee (see the above).

 

Returned Checks: For any returned checks a $35 fee will be charged.

 

Late Payment: 

-NO PERSONAL CHECKS for late payment.

-Cash and Money Orders accepted

$5 daily late fee added starting from the day after due date.

 

During the Class / Before and After Class

  • No chewing gum is allowed in the studio
  • No cell phone use during class time and no video taping without instructor's permission
  • Dancers must come to class in dress code. No street shoes or jeans during a class.
  • Dancers must use the restroom before class. Leaving during class time is discouraged.
  • Any student that is late to class may asked to sit and watch.  Prompt arrival time ensures that your dancer receives full instruction.
  • Before and After Class: UV Performing Arts is not responsible for providing care to students before or after class. If student is left at the studio unattended for over 10 minutes, a fee of $1 per minute after class ending time will be charged to your account.
  • Any fees on your account must be paid by the beginning of the student's next class or the student will be unable to take class.

Consent for Release of Audio, Photograph and Videography: 

  • Photograph, Videography, and Audio taken during a class may be used for promotional purposes for the website or advertisement of UV Performing Arts. 
  • Images and video recording that student owns is used for his/her personal purposes with permission by the person or people on the images.
  • Images and video recording that student owns is only used for personal purposes, including but not limited to: sharing and emailing only with his/her family members but not for financial gain or social medias including Facebook, Youtube, Instagram, TikTok, personal blog, and website.

 

Studio Closures (Snow Day and other natural disasters) :  When Bellevue School District and/or Seattle School  District is closed due to natural disasters including weather related disasters and health related disasters,  UV Performing Arts will also be closed.  However, there are exceptions to this rule, such as roads being cleared by class time.  Cancellations will be announced through email and website before 2pm on weekdays and 8am on weekends.  If a class is cancelled more than three days due to natural disasters, a make-up class will be scheduled. No refund for natural disasters related closures.
